You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
Our last snorkeling trip to MacArthur State park was fun but the water was a bit rough. So?
We're going snorkeling again? Sunday, June 15th (which is Father's Day) this time we are going to Coral Cove Park on the Southern end of Jupiter Island in Tequesta. It'a only a 1.2 miles drive from US 1 in Tequesta along A1A. Coral Cove Park is a 31 acre Palm Beach county park which has 600 feet of guarded beach, restroom facilities, picnic tables with grills, showers, and an additional 600 foot beach along the intracoastal. There is a reef system just off the beach with easy access.
We will be on the ocean side of the park at 1pm and we'll stake out our place in the sun. You are encouraged to join us with your sun screen, shades, umbrella, blankets and a cooler with your favorite refreshments? Oh and bring some friends! We all had a very nice afternoon on our last snorkeling/beach day and everyone wanted to have another beach day!
We have several experienced snorkelers (our favorite underwater guide Donna) and scuba divers in our ranks - as well as those newer to snorkeling - so you have no excuse to getting wet. All you need is a mask, snorkel and flippers - or borrow some! Landlubbers are welcome also? someone has to take pictures!
The park is free, and we are asking for a $1 event fee so we may cover the expense of hosting our web presence on www.meetup.com tell your friends and they can become a member for free at About this Meetup
We look forward to seeing you there!
ps? don't forget about our monthly regular get together at JJ Muggs Stadium Grill at Abacoa's Town Center in Jupiter. We meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month upstairs in a private room from 6pm to 8'ish. Full menu and the bar is available.
pps? we are making plans for the entire summer and want your input? wine tasting, poker/game nights, bowling, miniature golf, fossil hunt on the Peace River, and our 1st anniversary pizza party.
