FESTIVAL OF ARTS HOSTS ITS FIRST EVER FOOD FIGHT WITH
LAGUNA CULINARY ARTS! 12 noon - 2:30

Didn?t Mom always tell you not to play with your food? Come and watch us break all the rules! Join the fun on Saturday, July 28, 2007, from 12 noon to 2:30pm, as the Festival of Arts teams up with Laguna Culinary Arts to present two culinary battles entitled Food Fight ? Culinary Competitions and Demonstrations on the Festival of Arts grounds.

Similar to the top-rated show ?Iron Chef America? on the Food Channel, the Festival will have four individual cooking stations set up in the center of their grounds. These stations will include a fully stocked kitchen with a vast array of foods and spices as well as a complete line of cooking equipment. Eminent guest chefs from ?The O.C.? will be given a food challenge with the task of incorporating a ?surprise? ingredient that must be used in each dish. At this point, it is up to the creativity and culinary skills of the chefs to prepare the best dishes in the time allotted.

Food Fight will be hosted by Chef Laurant, of Laguna Culinary Arts, who will give play-by-play accounts of each chef?s progress throughout the duration of the event. Event judges include celebrity chef Marcel Vigneron, fan favorite and runner-up on season two of Bravo TV?s TOP CHEF. He?ll be joined by Zov Karamardian of ?Zov?s? Restaurant and author of the celebrated cookbook ?Recipes and Memories from the Heart.? This group of judges will evaluate each team?s final dishes and choose the winning chef.

Food Fight is free with Festival of Arts general admission ($7 and this is a season pass general ticket so you can come back any time you want! )

Food Fight show is from 12 noon to 2:30 but meet us at 10am at the entrance to attend the festival and walk around for a couple hours first.
