Welcome to Mrs Coots Quirky Outings. This group is about discovering slightly unusual and off-the-wall things e.g. seeing lost rivers under London, visiting Portmeirion, caves, secret nuclear bunkers. The emphasis is to keep the group small, with committed like-minded individuals who join in on a regular basis. Genuine friendships have been made amongst many of us which is a bonus!

My aim is to organise a meet-up once a month or more and I also welcome members to contribute their ideas as and when they wish as long as the suggestions are in keeping with the spirit of The Coots. That way everyone gets a chance to be creative with this group.

From time to time there will also be occasional light walks under the guise of 'Mrs Coots Rickety Old Rambles'.

There is a small annual membership fee of £10 to help towards the web site charges and phone calls/admin/research for outings & trips away.
Please do not join if you have no intention of paying this as you will be removed.

Very much looking forward to meeting you!

Mrs Coot

I love the world and the people in it. I am endlessly fascinated by the sameness and differences that unite and divide us. Having a deep love of the quirky, I'm mother to two bizarrely original (almost grown up) children and collectively we delight i

Been living and working in London for a while .... in need of more quirkiness in my life, which is best done in the company of others!

I love quirk! I once did a road trip in the USA where we used a Magic 8-Ball to make every single decision on which way to go every time we got to an intersection - got some fantastic unexpected adventures out of that.

Hi, I lived in Florida for several years and miss the wonderful kitsch my friends would seek out - a Coral Castle built for a long lost love, school bus drag racing, gatorland, wikee watchee mermaids. I feel like you are like-minded individuals.
