Tompkins Square Park in Alphabet City on a good night. . .
“ Eye opening, to say the least. Go out on a few Trash Tours with these folks and you'll never feel the same walking in to any supermarket in the world. It's truly grotesque to see how much is wasted, every day. On a lighter side, the people I've met and continue meeting are very cool. They're world-changers, and I'm glad to be a part of them. ”
“ If you like well planned, fun organized hikes with nice people then this is your group! I had a Great Time on my first adventure, and look forward to playin' in the woods again with ya'all soon! ”
“ NY Adventures is one of my favorite Meetups! We all know David - he's the King of Meetup. He may also be the nicest New Yorker you'll ever meet - even though he's 100% Brooklyn! ”
“ I'm very happy to see this club so active and vibrant. Excellent Job Joe! It wasn't too long ago when I was at your place telling you about Meetup.com! I'm happy that your club has grown into what it is today, the largest Backpacking Club on Meetup.com! As per my previous discussions with you, there are still several things from a Logistic & Safety standpoint which I think you need to work on. Remember the "7 Pee's"?.Although you rarely join in on the activities that your group offers, I hope you are thinking about Safety Action Plans and Logistics, such as our mentors at Northland taught us,as both trips I've gone on with the club were lacking in this vital component. Needless to say, I have Greatly Enjoyed meeting & hiking with everyone I've met through your dynamic & thriving club. There is always room for improvement in anything we do,so please take this as constructive feedback, which it is.What is the legality of the group? What if someone got hurt & decided to sue?Are u protected? ”
“ Juliana RULES! She really puts a lot of hard work into this group and it shows! ”

He's a nice guy, and puts a lot of hard work into this club. Shokran / Thanks! - Mike Jamal Director, NYC Arabic Language & Culture Meetup Club ”
“ It was nice to finally meet you Big Horse! - now I know your real name ; ) ”
“ It appears to me that the most active meetup organizers and their assistants were at this meeting. The energy, enthusiasm, and diversity amongst us was terrific! I do believe, as Scott said, that we make NYC a better place. With that said, what is the purpose of this group? Well, it is a networking tool. We have new and 'old' Organizers represented. As far as what we do in our professional lives, I'm Sure we're as diverse as NYC is cultured. We all work in various ways, and lead our groups differently. However, we can learn from each other. Network people, Network. Email each other, but - better yet - call one another or get together OFF-LINE, hence, the goal of Meetup.com You may always contact me by Riegelman@UN.Org. If you go to the club's website, on the about page you'll find my personal cell phone number. - Michael Jamal Riegelman ”
“ New in Town is one of my favorite Meetups! We all know David - he's the King of Meetup. He may also be the nicest New Yorker you'll ever meet - even though he's 100% Brooklyn! ”

“ Have you taken a moment to look through our 'Members Page'? It's quite impressive. We really have a strong group of experienced professionals who are connected within the Non-Profit industry. I'm glad to be a part of this group, and look forward to meeting you all at one of our upcoming events. - Michael Jamal ”
“ Cause' we RULE! If you like to bowl, have a good attitude, aren't competitive, and just like to have fun, drop by and roll a few with us! ”
“ Words alone can Not Describe how much I enjoy this Club. I truly grateful to have found it - thanks to the woman I met at the Coffee Pot who told me about it : ) I have met and made more friends than I can remember. I wish I would have known about this place sooner! Everyone Without Exception has been a unique joy to meet. I hope we continue to grow together and continue our elusive quest for Arabic fluency, while having a Great Time doin' it! Heck, even if you aren't interested in learning Arabic, and some of you aren't, that's ok too! If anyone ever needs to contact me, my cell number is (347) 523.3937 and my eMail is riegelman@un.org or NYCArabicLanguageClub@gMail.com Peace/Shalom/Salam! Michael 'Jamal' ”
“ Whether or not you're an occasional 8-ball player after drinking 13 pints of Guiness at the local pub, or a die-hard hustler, if you like the game a'pool, you've found the right place! ”
“ I recently took over the leadership of this club from Christian Bissan. I haven't yet had the chance to meet most of you, but look forward to doing so soon, incha'Allah. We have a wonderful thing going here, something important, which we need to keep going. Please, if you have comments, suggestions, or ideas on the club, contact me or any of the Assistant Organizers.
