About Toronto Desi Club (Mid 20s to Early 30s) Meetup Group

The "Toronto Desi Club" was established to help young, professional South Asians to meet, mingle, and socialize with other desis who live in the Toronto Area.

If you're new to Toronto, or if you've been living here for a while, this group is a great way to meet new people. The primary focus of the Toronto Desi Club is to provide a fun and casual environment where young desis can get together over some drinks & light refreshments, exchange some good conversations and make loads of friends in a 'non-pickup-scene' social environment.

Just a few simple rules to abide by:

1.) Please respect each member's need for privacy

2.) The Toronto Desi Club is NOT a singles club, so please don't go with the preconceived notion of trying to pick up members of the opposite sex

3.) The Toronto Desi Club is NOT an organization that promotes any particular religious or spiritual awareness. It is a secular club, that's open to desis of all backgrounds


So some basic ground rules.




Ground rules - many other meetups have this type of rules rule so many of you may be familiar with them.

1. If you fail to show up for an event 3 times then you will be removed from the group. You will get a warning email for each no show. Meetup has a feature for you to change event RSVPs. If you cannot make a event, please change your RSVP in order to let us know.

2. If you cancel during the week of an event 3 times then you will be removed from the group.

3. Members who haven't logged onto the site in over 3 months will be removed from the site.

5. When car pooling, gas is split amongst the passengers, the driver does not pay for gas or parking



We ask that you enjoy the nightlife that Toronto provides, and be open to meeting new and interesting people.
