This group is four meetings into their studies, but no worries, I joined in the middle of their group last March, branched off and passed the LEED AP Exam in June. Come out and engage! If you can't make it tonight, they meet every week, so join us then.

"From David Schmidt ~

We had our fourth LEED EBOM study group meeting on Wednesday, December 16th at 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM and we will be meeting again on Wednesday, January 6th at the same time and place. We met at Atlanta Bread, located next to Pet Smart at the Southeast corner of Hualapai and West Charleston @ 9785 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89117

The assignment for this study group meeting is still to read pages 151 through 234 of the Green Building Operations and Maintenance Reference Guide by the USGBC. This assignment will conclude the chapter on Energy and Atmosphere (EA). You may also want to purchase the following supplemental study materials for use in the study group; particularly if you are considering taking the EBOM LEED AP exam: Details @ the meeting.

You can obtain a 40% discount for the above study materials if you phone call to make your order and you note that you are a part of the Las Vegas LEED Study Group that I am facilitating. (Costs: On-Line access only for complete PTL Study Bundle @ $59.99; and On-line access plus hard copy for complete PTL Study Bundle @ $127.49)

You can also obtain the same 40% discount for any of the PTL Exam Study LEED Green Associate materials or study bundles if you phone call to place your order and you note that you are a part of the Las Vegas LEED Study Groups that I am facilitating. Another excellent source of LEED Green Associate study materials is available at: http://www.greenexamp... although no discount has been offered from this 3rd party materials source to the Las Vegas LEED Study Groups. The prerequisite LEED Green Associate Exam is the same for all of the LEED AP Accreditation programs.

The Home Show is back! And if touring the displays at a home show wasn't fun enough, we also have our very own member Kiki in charge of the Coats-For-Kids booth near the entrance. So please bring a childs coat to donate, and you will get half-off admission to the show (which would make it $3.50). We don't necessarily all need to meet at the same time, but I will be there at Kiki's booth at 1 PM.

Here is a link for more info: http://www.thorschproductions.com/index_hids3.html

Hope to see you there.

We found a great spot to get together! If you haven't been to The M Resort yet, you really should come and experience the open and relaxing spaces and excellent use of natural lighting. The Lobby bar at The M Resort, a beautiful lounge right next to the Oyster Bar and the Steakhouse, overlooks the pool area and we can actually hear each other speak. They are offering 2-for-one martinis until 8 PM. It will be great to catch up and see what's going on in our industry. We have a lot of new members, and we will have plenty of room. Please invite any colleagues.

A few things we would like to discuss: Any new ideas for future meetup activities, how to help our little group to grow, and sign up any volunteer assistant organizers. A five dollar donation from each would be appreciated to help pay our Meetup Subscription Payment.

Bring your business cards! I am looking forward to meeting you.

Ok I know UFC mixed martial arts is not for everybody. But if you want to avoid the crowds at the Station Casinos, come on over to my place with a bottle of your favorite libation and lets watch it together on our big screen. I will provide snacks, and if we need more we will have some pizza delivered.

$5 each should help cover the cost of the pay per view.

We are long overdue for another great happy hour together. If you haven't been to Pink Taco then you are in for a treat. :) (I will leave the real pink taco jokes to more capable joke-tellers). We will be enjoying two-for-one beers and margaritas and half-off appetizers (order before 7pm). One succulent pink taco is a must, but wait till you taste their nachos.

Bring your business cards! We have a lot of new faces, and who knows what excellent contacts you will make. I am looking forward to seeing our regulars and meeting our newest members. Also looking forward to hearing any ideas for future meetup locations.

Members - Our Christmas gathering is fast approaching and it is going to be at a fun venue. This restaurant has "rockin" food, just like the name. They mean what they say.

The Cantina will provide us with an appetizer buffet and we buy our own drinks. We will be having a gag gift exchange. $10 limit for gifts. Remember, wrap it, keep it funny and memorable. These gift exchanges are always fun when there is humor and the ability to steal each others gifts involved. I will go over the gift exchange rules the day of the party. This party isn't just for LVEAC group. Invite as many as you would like for a great afternoon of fun. Just be sure to RSVP prior to so I can give the Cantina a head count.

They have machines, drinks and pool tables. I'm sure we can make good use of our time and enjoy the day! I'm excited to see all of you and I truly hope you can make it. We have many events with the LVEAC and it seems that we get a limited amount of people for each event due to specific interests. I'm hoping this one peaks everyone's interest and we can all celebrate the holiday together.

Call me with any questions. Look forward to seeing you!
