Hey Everyone -

I'm going to see some friends do their annual holiday concert (mother and daughter duet) at the Border's at Crossroads Sunday afternoon. This event is from 2-4p.m. Feel free to join me if you just want a break from shopping or just wanna chill. It's a great casual environment for you to sit back, relax, and get a hot seasonally-themed cocoa or coffee. Hope you can make it.

Hey Everyone -

Sorry I've been MIA. School has been kicking my butt. I was informed by some friends that they have "midget wrestling" happening this Saturday and since I will defintely be in need of a study break by then, feel free to come out and join us. We'll meet around 9:30p.m. to get some seats since the event starts at 10p.m. Let me know if you have any questions and feel free to invite others.

Description from their facebook page:

The Half Pint Brawlers are coming to The Brickhouse in Raleigh!!

YES - MIDGET WRESTLING... no, that is not politically correct but they don't seem to care!

The event starts at 10:00pm but you will want to come earlier to get a good seat and throw back a few drinks!

Tickets are on sale now for $3 in advance and $5 at the door.

I, personally, intend on wrestling one (or many) of them so that alone is worth coming to see...

So come hang out with all of us at the Brickhouse (right across from Meredith College) on December 5th... and don't forget your camera... this night will be EPIC

Updated 9/10/09:

Unfortunately I don't think I can attend this event. Sorry for the last minute update. It's a great cause though so if you can make it out, definitely come out for some bowling. Classes are really kicking my butt so I need to dedicate more time to my studies. Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Join myself, volunteer members of MEł, and lots of others at this year's Strike for Survival event, an annual bowling fundraiser for the American Cancer Society! Great people have coordinated it and run it and everybody has a good time.

This year's event in Raleigh will be taking place Saturday, September 12. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m. and bowling starts at 7:00 p.m.! The cost is $25 and includes shoes, pizza, drinks, and a goody bag. It's really a lot of fun, especially with a group of friends.

You can RSVP here, but you will have to pay online on the Strike for Survival site to have an official 'ticket':

Hey Everyone -

The weather is getting warmer and warmer so what better way to combat the heat than to enjoy some snowballs (like snowcones only better!). They have over 100 flavors and are only $1 each.

Pending on interest, we can even hit a few golf balls on the driving range. It's $5-10 for a buck of balls (depends on the bucket size) and you can rent golf clubs too if you don't have your own.

Overall, a very kick back and relaxing evening. Hope you can join us!
