Senior Director - Development & Integration

Job Description:
St. Louis, Mo
Compensation: 150,0000 plus bonus, full package
Reporting to CLIENT, VP of Operations Support Systems (OSS), the Senior Director of OSS Integration & Development will lead the efforts for CLIENT critical systems management applications. In this capacity, he/she will be charged with on-going design, development, integration and support of products that provide repeatable, scalable solutions for our internal and external customers. The Senior Director of Integration & Development will work closely with OSS Engineering, Program Management and Product Support groups to ensure timelines are met and quality products are delivered.
Challenges include managing work requests from three separate work streams, coordination of resources, and ensuring timely delivery based on agreed upon commitments. The successful candidate will need to balance internal staff and expertise with contracted support to meet demands during peak periods. Success in this position will be quantified by the ability to deliver development and implementation commitments on time, on budget and with a quality level that exceeds customer expectations.
Key areas of responsibility:
Establish a governance framework for solutions design, development and integration of OSS products
Identify and prioritize technical, functional and operational requirements for new integrated solution sets from key stakeholder groups
Design and implement OSS products with a focus on using commercially available products while developing customized products for business differentiation
Produce design documentation (?Reference architectures?) and delivery of high quality training for both operations staff and Product Support engineers
Provide ongoing tier IV support for solutions delivered
Establish software testing facilities and methodology for rapid test and promotion of code updates
Performance management of Integration & Development team including: goal & objective setting, managing team member performance review, and constantly seeking to improve the performance of the team
Responsible for the creation, management and communication of OSS solution/product lifecycle
Required experience and skills:
Track record of building world-class teams and delivering critical functionality in a high-pressure, fast paced environment.

Familiarity with Agile software development concepts to include planning, requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation
Significant experience with software life-cycle management
Strong familiarity with formal development process translating business requirement into a comprehensive solution
Experience managing offshore development teams
Successful delivery of large enterprise scale OSS products in a Telco or service provider model
Ability to inspire and build consensus
Able to tailor and adopt quality programs for software integration functions
Exceptional communication skills
Education or Equivalent Experience:
Bachelors degree (Masters preferred)
10 -15 years of experience
