House Party Liberation Front/ POTG 1 Year Anniversary Party!
Taking the house party out of the house
Free admission
A, B, C, D, or 1 to 125h Street
The House Party Liberation Front started as a monthly party in January and has been our way of sharing the sensibilities of our creative arts venture, Planet of the Grapes, with those around us, as well as providing a forum for other artists to share work and generally for all to just have a good time and meet interesting people.
Now, we graduate to a more public location with the April party, a welcome sign of growth we gratefully now share with all the people who made Jan. through March so great and the new people to come!
DJ Shar Gorgiiss spins
The DJing, music, art, photography, drinks, free food, and good people you've come to expect will continue in the new location. NO COVER. Low-priced drinks (to keep these parties going!)
Yes it's in a church basement: a very cool, socially progressive church. Besides, where else can you find a rocker chick DJ spinning old school hip hop and indie rock in a church basement in Harlem with live painting happening, art on the walls, a photographer running around, food, drink, etc?!
Let us know if you have art you'd like to hang/sell. Have limited space...
