About North Yorkshire Neurological Social Group

This group is all about people who have similar neurological conditions but yet still aim to make the most out of life.

I set up the group initially for those who have Dystonia, but as we all know movement disorders of any kind can be isolating and similar hurdles can be faced. So why not bring more people together in a relaxed and friendly environment, no need to feel self-conscious as we all, will have similar concerns.

Meeting new people without a physical condition can be hard enough, thats why you can contact us via e-mail and chat over the net, whichever way YOU feel comfortable.

I set up this group in Newcastle but as I've moved to York myself i would like to continue the group and continue to meet like-minded people myself. Previous meet ups we did were trips to the coast, meals out, museum and even Ten Pin Bowling. All trips/venues are wheelchair access and suitable for all members who are attending that particular trip.

There are no formal meetings with chairman/woman etc, it is more team-based and all trips out are decided by the members.
