1st ANNUAL PEANUT ISLAND BASH

  • May 26, 2008 · 10:00 AM
  • PEANUT ISLAND

1st Annual Peanut Island Bash (9:00 am till sunset) (Poker Run is being rescheduled due to safety reasons due to high boat traffic on Memorial Day). Come early and get a grill if you plan on doing a pot luck BBQ (post online with your RSVP if interested, and what you plan on bringing). The first water taxi will start boarding at the Riviera Beach Marina (slip 517) to leave for Peanut Island at 8:30 AM.

Invite your friends to join us! Catch the ferry from the Riviera Beach Marina, Phil Foster Park or the Sailfish Marina ($10 round-trip fare).

Pack a lunch or grill something on the BBQ's on the island. OR, better yet: make it easy and plan to grab a bite at "The Boathouse", a NEW open-air restaurant on the south side of the island, serving hamburgers, hotdogs, cold soft drinks, cold beer and other lite fare. The restaurant will be offering relaxing steel drum entertainment from 11:00 to 4:00.

WHAT TO BRING: anything you'd generally bring to the beach for the day - stocked cooler, suntan lotion, snorkel equipment, fishing gear, bait, towel, chairs, frisbee, water football, float, music, etc. If you're going to join in the Noodle Race, bring a noodle. If you want to join the Sand Castle contest, bring your sand toys/tools. Don't forget to bring a drum, if you have one, or any other instrument (salt and pepper shakers will do, too) for our drumming circle!

COME EARLY - PARKING BECOMES MORE DIFFICULT AFTER 10:00 AM. !

DON'T MISS IT!

B: Gerri is running this show, and organizing the boats and the poker run. You need to e-mail her with any Q's. I believe there is no limit on boats... you have a boat, right? Are you offering space to others?
